Submissions were judged anonymously on their own merit in categories with similarly printed pieces. Judging criteria included: registration, clarity, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, color quality, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery.
Out-of-state judges with extensive industry experience selected winners from entries submitted by hundreds of PINE members. The announcement was made at this year's annual Awards Gala with more than 240 of the industry's top executives in attendance.
As Pinnacle Awards winners DS Graphics' submissions will be automatically entered in Printing Industries of America's Premier Print Awards.
