Summary
The Prepress Operator is responsible for preflight, prep and proof of digital art files utilizing a variety of industry standard software, as well as perform color corrections, create impositions and perform variable data programming.
Responsibilities
- Preflight all supplied files using appropriate software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Perform color corrections as directed.
- Create press impositions using Preps and/or Metrix imposition software.
- May deal directly with customers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a prepress operator.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). Experience with Xerox XMPIE, uStore, and Xinet asset management system a plus.
- Strong knowledge of prepress workflows. Experience with Esko Automation Engine and/or WebCenter a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Variable data experience a plus.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
