If you've visited our offices recently, you may have noticed that we've added a piece of DSG history to our front lobby. Read on to learn more about why this little press means so much to us:

In 1974 at the age of 35, Jim Pallis had a vision of owning his own printing business. Since the age of 18, he had worked for several printing companies including Houghton Mifflin where he did his apprenticeship. Leaving a secure job, Jim took the risk and purchased his first printing press, this A.B. Dick (the little press that could).

He acquired 500 square feet at the old Northeast Trade Center in Woburn Massachusetts. His family gave him incentive to make this venture a reality and they helped to get DS Graphics get on its feet. It was not an easy task, but he persevered, buying out his two original partners.

Over the years, Jim endured the many ups and downs of the ever-changing printing industry. He had the foresight to invest in new and advanced equipment, always staying ahead of the curve.

Jim’s untimely death in 1992 at the young age of 53, left his boys that he had groomed to take charge. Jim’s young daughter would later join the firm and continue his legacy along with her four brothers and work toward their father’s dream and the present success of DS Graphics.

DS Graphics is one of the industry’s top-performing print communications companies and our beginnings were indeed humble. We have never forgotten that our genesis was forged with client focus, hard work and clear values. We will continue our spirit of achievement and growth that will indeed lead into our next generation.
