Desktop Support

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the functionality of all PC/MAC desktops
  • Comply with established security rules, procedures, and guidelines
  • Provide extensive printer support
  • Assist with Help Desk process and Request system
  • Troubleshoot local server issues
  • Assist with local tape backups/restores
  • Be available for special projects as requested and occasional weekend on-call support coverage

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 and above and MAC OSX
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows service equipment
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP configuration (DHCP, DNS, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of PC/MAC hardware and application knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office 2013 and above and Office 365
  • Proficiency in Microsoft's WSUS/SCCM and Group Policy Objects (GPO)
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Focused attention to detail, execution of tasks, and follow-up
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain multiple priorities

Required education/training

  • Associate degree in CS/CE or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years' industry experience
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Helpdesk Technician or relevant IT experience in a professional setting
